Dunkin' Donuts
Ever since Dunkin Donuts opened up a store in Downtown Salt Lake, Keith has been wanting to try their donut breakfast sandwich. Em and I are big fans of donuts, too, so we all headed up this morning for a breakfast on the town =)
The donut breakfast sandwich:
My "healthy" breakfast sandwich:
Probably the best hash browns I've had. Great seasonings!
And of course we couldn't leave without getting a dozen donuts!
Em was a big fan!

Bear Lake
While we were staying at the Bear Lake KOA, we took the time to visit Bear Lake itself. Em hated her last "beach" experience so we were hoping this would go better. And it did.
We had to walk along a boardwalk to get to the shoreline. It was a scenic little walk.
The shore.
Em discovered the "baby seashells" and went about collecting them. Happy as a clam, I'd say =)
My hubby =)
The water was COLD (we're both from tropical places) so we didn't do much more than wade.
This is Em "playing in the water".
Writing her name in the sand.
Running to Daddy.
We loved visiting and hope to go again next year!
Camping at Bear Lake
Keith's birthday was at the end of August and he got some camping gear so of course we had to go one more time this year in order to try it out =)
We decided to go to the Bear Lake KOA this time. It was pretty wonderful, and somehow we lucked out and didn't have rain the entire time. Here are some pictures from our trip:
Em enjoyed the drive up =)
We had the tent area all to ourselves the first night. Even on the busiest night, it was still only half full. Must be fall....
Emily loved going "fishing" in the puddles.
She also seemed to get "stuck" a lot. We quickly tired of this game...
"Look, Mom! The moon!!!"
We loved their playground. We went 3-4 times a day. Here's Em on the "digger" toy.
She needed a little moral support for her first trip down the slide.
Probably her favorite part of the playground - a kid-sized cabin where she could "order food".
Our first morning we were woken up by crows. Em had to go find them!
Sleeping peacefully in her sleeping bag.
Sleeping peacefully on a picnic bench.
Watching Daddy roast her marshmallow.
Mmm! S'mores!
In order to get the bugs & bees to leave us alone, we gave them a little piece of food.
Em, "washing her hands" in the bucket.
"Hiding" in Daddy's stove stand.
Chasing a kid around the playground.
All in all it was a great trip. We'll definitely do it again.
